Julian Assange now working for the Kremlin

Julian Assange, advocate for information transparency, will be working for the Kremlin, killer of journalists. He will be hosting a talk show on RT, the international channel backed by the Russian government.

I read the book about Wikileaks written by Daniel Domscheit-Berg (Inside Wikileaks), and not much Julian Assange could do at this point would surprise me. He seems to be one of those larger-than-life characters who goes from one drama to the next.

Forgive me for venturing into conspiracy-land, but is it possible that Assange was a Russian agent all along? Perhaps Wikileaks was started as a cover for espionage, or to facilitate it.

What a load of hysterical bullshit. Here’s an idea: if you don’t want him turning to a Russian news channel for funding, don’t try to censor him out of existence. You don’t get to keep the high ground when you kill, kidnap and torture innocent people and use whatever’s at your disposal to try to cover it up.

Of course, you are conveniently forgetting about the rape charges Sweden wants to try him for. The UK Supreme Court is set to hear the extradition case in February. But if the guy runs off to Russia…

I should correct something regarding my post above: Assange can’t “run off to Russia” as he is under house arrest by the UK. The extra coin he’s getting from Russia Today will certainly help with legal expenses for fighting extradition to Sweden and the rape and sexual molestation charges the Swedes have chgrged him with.

Now he will also be appearing on the Simpsons.

This is interesting: Wikileaks is considering moving offshore to escape from the law. I can’t help thinking that this would be a huge mistake. A ship at sea (or a WW2 gun platform in the English Channel) could be made to disappear very easily. Hell, any country with even the most rudimentary navy could eliminate them with no witnesses.
