I just heard on the radio that a Virgin Atlantic 747 bound for LA has just made an emergency landing in Edmonton. A passenger found a “suspicious” package under a seat.
No more news than that. Its probably a fire-extinguisher or someones old lunch, I suspect.

Virgin seems to be awfully sensitive about these things. Earlier the week they had another flight put down in Goose Bay, Labrador, for the same reason.
And they just cancelled expansion into Canada. Heck, they could restore that plan just by making the bomb-check part of their Canadian stopover.
