June 6, 2002: My 20th Wedding Anniversary

Miscellaneous and Personal Stuff I Must Share

Hard to believe. I’ve spent nearly half my life married to the same wonderful woman. We met in college, and were engaged for four years. Now married for twenty.

Twenty years of marriage. Two children, Sakura, 17, and Halford the Human Eel[sup]TM[/sup], 8. Numerous jobs acquired and lost, numerous apartments in Rochester and downstate New York, and finally, a house of our own.

Many ups and downs, worries, arguments, hopes, dreams, laughs, and always, always love.

Wish us well, friends. And, if it moves you, another twenty years, and then some.

Yeah, Geobabe 20 years together. They’ve been the happiest 14 years of my life. Thanks, hon. You and Bill will be together for a long, long time, I just know.

Ironically, she’s not even around today. Yesterday, the third graders took off for Nature’s Classroom. She won’t be home until Friday.

(after 20 years, the actual date becomes a little less important than the overall accomplishment. We’re going out for a nice dinner on Saturday.)

Are you still near Rochester? I lived there for too many years, but I don’t recall a Pearl River.

Congrats Dave! Barb must be all that seeing as how she’s been able to keep a hottie like you by her side for 20 years.

I’m sorry, but I just don’t have enough cash on hand to buy you and the missus China. I hear the plumbing’s not that good there anyways.
