Junk drawers

Fly swatter

AA batteries

Home charger cable for cell phone

Top front three items: a small vicegrips, a roll of electrical tape, a pack of stick on labels (in there mostly for use on freezer containers; this junk drawer’s in the kitchen.)

There’s a lot more stuff in there.

  1. Unopened Pez dispenser (Christmas/Nutcracker)
    2. Stick of glass with stars floating inside
    3. 19th century NYC public school doorknob

Huh. So pants where (basically) a pair of tall gaiters. Huh. And scissors, a device combined of two cutting instruments. Cool, thanks. Makes sense.

Butane lighter fluid

Misc. rubber bands

Extraneous twist ties

A Stanley 25’ tape measure

A partial box of Raid fly strips

A pink cat collar

I heard this song at a convention:

Which junk drawer? The one where I keep my assorted electronic cords that I have no idea if I’ll ever need again? The one where I stash extra tote bags? The huge plastic drawer in my bedroom that I haven’t opened in years and have no idea what’s inside? The one with assorted office supplies? The one where I keep batteries?

There are times I think that my whole house is just one big junk drawer.

I feel ya.

My thoughts exactly.

I opened the junk drawer on my vanity. 3 items:

An old round hairbrush, it gets tangled up in my hair. So I never use it.

A tub of some kinda cream. I’m sure it needs to be tossed.

A partial box of finger lancets.

nevermind

No clue what a junk drawer would entail. I have a place for everything. If its junk, its thrown out.

Yes that one. My wag, treasured plushie, an old diary, handcuffs?

Scissors
Fat tipped sharpie
Magnify glass

Old address books greeting cards scrap paper ribbons paper clips business cards phone case water bed parts

That’s the headquarters of the Alien Invasion. (They’re smaller than you expected.)

Red hank of yarn.

Push pins.

Sharpie.

(Oops sounds like my spy, stalking, conspiracy theory predilection has surfaced :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: )

So do I. And for all of the odds and ends that I don’t have enough of to have a dedicated place for, that place for them is the junk drawer.

I bought a library card catalog bank at an auction once. Refinished it. Built it some legs.

It has 24 little but very long drawers. I removed all the hardware inside the drawers. Put bottoms on.

Every drawer is full of surprises. The grandkids love it, so much.

I envy you that card catalog bank. Not that I have room for it, but I feel such envy.

Items:
Packets of condiments from fast food (in a baggie)
Too many packages of different band-aids.
Matches.

Exactly. I can tell you that my 3/8" sockets are in the second drawer of my tool box. Screwdrivers are in the 5th drawer. My 5 hammers are on a peg board. But for the odd paper clip or if you need a flash light real quick in the kitchen - Junk drawer (Or you can go to the garage. That flash light is in my tool bag. There is another downstairs in my office).

God it’s nice to finally be organized.

Absolutely love it Beck.
