Wow, and the Red Spot is gone, too. That’s very dramatic. And I guess Jovian meteorologists will have to come up with a new forecast for the first time in a few centuries.
I hope Galactus isn’t eating it. We need it to catch the stray planet killers.

This was my thought, too – Jupiter losing its Big Red Spot would be bigger news, I think, than losing a stripe. I suspect it’s just out of sight. Although that page does report that the spot has been shrinking of late.
But if it was gone, I think they would’ve mentioned that.
