Do they ever explain how thay can have so many large meat eating animals on such a small island?
Realistically the big ones would eat almost all the little ones and then starve to death. All you would have left are the small ones.

Because it’s a movie about dinosaurs living in the year 1993-2001.
Besides, the only large meat eater was the T-Rex (which I believe there was only one). There were also some smaller ones like velociraptors. I’m guessing if a dino is anything like a snake or iguana, they don’t eat that often. And it seemed like there were plenty of big plantasuaruses to eat.
And, it wouldn’t be very exciting if the only thing on the island were brotosauruses and tiny meat eaters.
In the Lost World book, they do talk about this, saying that the island is not big enough to support all the predators, but I don’t remember how they figured out it worked. (That sentance just does not look right) BTW, In JP III, they have a Spinorsaurus or something, not a T-Rex.
They said that Prions had something to do with it…
