My wife and I just bought a home on 3 acres on the Big Island of Hawaii. We’re stoked.
Have a look.
Congratulations! That looks like a lovely house.
So when are you hosting a Dopefest?
Sooooooo, have I mentioned how really wonderful a bloke I have always thought you are, and how very much I think we would all enjoy getting together in person?!?
LOL!
It’s really lovely - congratulations!
Dopefest at Steen’s Place! ! ! ! !
Lucky! My parents are looking at buying a vacation home there now that they’ve paid off their mortgage.
Hey cool, my girlfriend, parents, friends, and everyone I have known since high school will be over shortly. What’s for dinner?
Seriously though, congrats on the beautiful purchase. Do you currently live in Hawaii? Is this a vacation home, a retirement home, etc?
Where’s the water view?
Jealousy does not become me. Congrats!
Whats with the shed and truck? Was this an old farm?
You’ve always been my favorite poster, Mangosteen.
Seriously, congrats! It looks lovely.
Gorgeous! My brother is planning on buying a vacation home there. Someday we’ll meet up!
Congratulations!
Get ready. My sister and her family lived in Hawaii for about 18 months, and were lacking in visitors for maybe a month of that time.
The big island is my favorite, because of the roominess and the wide variety of climates and terrain. We’ll be there in a couple of weeks, in fact.
That’s a nice spread, Mangosteen. I think I see papaya trees in those photos. Shall you plant other tropical fruits, including your namesake? And can you tell us very generally which district you’re in?
If you grow your namesake, can I come visit?
It’s awesome, congratuations!
I’m stoked for you and green with envy!
Got any photos of the house interior?
I’m coming over, and I’m bringing my Smoke Monster with me.
(Uh, that’s a Lost reference, not a reference to some super-huge bong I own.)
I’ll be visiting your lovely island in a few weeks. Come on by for a drink!
Its always been my favorite too. When I lived in Schofield Barracks as a lad in the late 1970’s, my fourth-grade class field trip was a plane ride on now defunct Aloha Airlines to the big island where we stayed for a week at the Volcano House and visited the Kilauea National Park, toured the island by bus, swam at the black sand beach, visited various temple ruins, etc.
I cannot possibly imagine a cooler field trip for a curious 10 year old boy, nor that such a thing would be allowed today. And it only cost my parents 50 bucks!
Nice pad, Mangosteen. I hope some day I can afford to retire to the big island and live out my days there.
I weep with envy.
Post more pictures.
Wow that is awesome and allow me to invite myself and brood(at your expense) anytime you need company:D
Approximately where on the Big Island is this?
That’s my situation exactly. My wife and I just paid off our home.
