Just got job at gay bar. Anything to expect?

I’ve heard that about straight women. I’ve also heard that one of the most dreaded visitors to patrons of a gay bar is the bachelorette party. I don’t think I even have to ask why.

Oh dear God no. I’m not even gay and that thought fills me with horror.

Yeah, you could say you might get more than you bargained on!

Expect to be making lots of gin and tonics.

OP, any update? Are you having fun at your new job? Is it what you hoped for?

Gay people, I would have assumed.

Last bar I ever went to was a gay bar several months ago. Tony’s Corner Pocket, Downtown’s gateway to the Fourth Ward. No problem with gay men and lesbians mixing, and straight people are welcome. Things are a bit more segregated in Montrose, and straight men like me are most unwelcome.

I really think you have nothing to worry about. Some men might be fascinated that you are a straight non-drinker. Rake it in. If this place doesn’t work out, try a job in a morning bar. Local law says that if you have a 51 license you can’t open until 10AM. Tips can be very good at 10:30 AM.
