Just me, or is "Crash" a really good movie?

Last night watched DVD of Crash and thought it excellent in a time when so may flics are just special effects, no plot and two-dimensional characters.

Humorous, sad, and quite a commentary on racial prejudice (by several races), and well rounded characters. Agree, or was I just in the proper mood for that time?

No, I agree. The plot is contrived, sometimes in the extreme, but it worked for me.

Not just you.

I wasn’t thrilled with it. I thought the plot was too contrived, and the characters WAY too racist to be believable. I just didn’t feel any sort of connection to the characters.

I liked the Crash about the car crashes…

I think it was probably the best movie in the past five years. Just a great film.

Am glad you agree. Interested to see you are from Schenectady, as we used to live in Altamont, before fleeing to AZ. Decided 40 yeas of shoveling snow was enough.

Thanks to all for interesting comments.

Excellent film

I love it and all of my friends love it. It’s my second favorite movie of the year (Millions, if you’re interested, is my favorite).

This was my thought, as well. It seemed like everything was so overemphasized that it was nothing more than a two hour caricature of America “the melting pot”. Ugh. Hated it.
