It’s a common indication. It’s not generally considered diagnostic (i.e., if it happens to you, that proves you’re dyslexic). I have no difficulty reading or spelling but in my handwriting often skip letters. No one would diagnose me as dyslexic but someone seeing this longstanding pattern might say I had a minor cognitive disorder.
