From the way it was headed, I thought we were going to learn about how the new website design meant that Obama instituted Sharia law under our noses. The will of man kind can be horribly wrong and misguided as history has shown many times over; hence we have common laws for positive, beneficial, guidance to the individual and to society.

Common laws depend on the philosophy of universal rights and wrongs, and the philosophy of justice as compensation and No cruel and unusual punishments, rather than naming and listing each offence as in statutory law.

The classic example would be to “love others as yourself” where as you would not want to be robbed so do not rob others. The statement has untold applications. In addition the punishment must meet the crime and not be over bearing as to be cruel, or too light as to enable wrong doing.
