In the anime all they tell you is that he’s “cursed”. Maybe someday they’ll tell you why he’s cursed. But I’m not counting on it.

It’s about Pirates. The main protagonist is Monkey D. Luffy. A bright young man who wants to be “King of the Pirates” and goes on adventures towards that end.
Kaido is the current main bad guy.
Kaido has, an “apparent inability to die”. He ate a special fruit, called a “Devil Fruit”, which gave him the power to transform into a dragon. It also makes him stronger and more harder to die.

Sure, the first hundred or two installments… Then it starts to seem like they aren’t really getting anywhere anymore.
But can he swim? Being immortal and forever drowning in the ocean seems like it would suck.
