He is ready to cast those tie-breaking votes. He doesn’t even need trained by Kamala who cast the most TBVs of any VP.
The latest “scandal” is that he and his wife apparently did not use IVF, they used IUI, which would not be affected by abortion bans. I’m glad that Michelle Obama pointed out that there will be little things that aren’t perfect but it can’t make us give up. Meanwhile, anyone who has struggled with fertility can empathize with people who need IVF.
Raise your hand if you think they’ll come after IUI next.
I can accept using the more commonly-understood term instead of having to explain IUI. It’s a white lie, IMHO, but then again I’m blue-boned Democrat so not impartial.
Oh, they’re coming after everything if given the chance.
Considering what’s involved with IUI, the phrasing here is quite amusing for my inner juvenile.
Especially as exaining IUI involves a lot of intimate details that are awkward to say out loud when it isnt a theoretical procedure, but is the story of the thing you did.
Should I have said “They’re after everything coming”?

Meh, they used artificial insemination methods. I’m not particular what version.
For the reactionary right, they are only making the distinction because they can use it to say he’s a liar. Sure as shooting, if it’s not “natural sex”, they’ll be coming for it.
The Walz’s use of fertility treatments gives him cred as someone who has faced the concerns of wanting a family and struggling to have it happen. He shows he is like millions of Americans, and understands their plight. They can see he will work to defend their interests.
This is, once again, a nothingburger. The best the R’s can come up with is this drivel.
I’m hoping it has the opposite of the desired effect. The dribble dribble dribble of silly accusations will desensitize Americans to anything coming from them. Like the boy who cried wolf, if they ever get to an October surprise, the people will already be to annoyed to care. "Oh those silly R’s whining about things again.

Tim Walz was asked a very important question today: do you prefer Sheetz or Wawa as a convenience store. He made the fine choice of not picking either and pushed Kwik Trip, his hometown chain. That’s the kind of considered decision-making I want to see in a VP.
It’s a pretty silly question because neither Sheetz nor Wawa exist in or anywhere near Minnesota. If he or any other candidate came to Cincinnati I wouldn’t think to ask if they prefer Skyline or Gold Star chili unless I knew they visited here regularly. I guess my inanity filter is set too high.
Every time you think you couldn’t love him more…
Ouch! That was pretty nasty - but she went after his son, so she is hardly in a position to complain.
He’s a nice guy, but attack his kid and he pushes back hard.
Good for him!
For some reason, Trump & co just can’t turn “weird” around. Every time they just confirm that it applies to them.

My thoughts as well. One of the reasons I love the “weird” thing is because it’s impossible for them to argue against it. Because it’s true. It’s weird that they want to take other people’s health care rights away. It’s weird that they’re hung up on racial identity issues and want to force their way into people’s bedrooms and doctor’s offices. It’s weird that they want to overthrow democracy. And yes it’s weird that they’re so hung up on their own self image. It’s a direct attack against their inherent narcissism. (Weird is of course being used, deliberately, as a massive understatement here)
And, as you say, every time they open their mouths all they do is prove the accusation. The only way to disprove this is is by “not acting weird.” They can’t, because they ARE.
I love Tim Walz. He’s fantastic. “Mind your own damn business” needs to become the Democratic motto.

Yep, I totally agree,
Except they are not weird- they are creepy. Weird can be good- I am a little weird- and many posts here also. But creepy is always bad.
