Jon Stewart had Walz on Monday night. I enjoyed the interview and think Walz did a good job. He showed some chops.
My opinion of him actually went up a few notches. He’s more than just an affable guy who can fix your carburetor.

I saw him on TV talking at the rally with Obama. He did well but I would prefer he dial down the profanity so we can draw a contrast with Trump. (Can’t complain about Trump using the s-word if Walz does it too).
He said “schlongged”?
I honestly don’t care if Trump uses profanity, that’s like being upset at Hitler for littering.
The Democratic governors all coordinated their Halloween costumes.
I love it!
Just adding the video and Walz’s reaction.
Lebron “King” James has endorsed Harris.
Looking at the shots, I loved how Washington’s governor, Jay Inslee, took a Washington Huskey “W” logo and turned it upside-down to look like a Minnesota Gophers “M” on his hat.
If this kind of article about how Walz “isn’t a head coach” and told a struggling kid to keep playing is the dirtiest thing that Fox can find on him, the man must be squeaky clean.
My new observation: voters do not want someone who looks and sounds 100% like a politician. They would prefer a conman. But they also pick the alpha male. So Walz was not it. Vance seemed to have some edge there, even though he was weird.
Vance is the exact opposite of an alpha male. He’s spent his whole life bouncing from toadying to one father figure to another.
I haven’t read the whole thread but does anyone else think Tim Walz might be a good Democratic Party candidate for POTUS in 2028?
If you show pictures of Vance and Walz to random people who don’t know them, people would absolutely identify Vance as the politician. I’ve really never been convinced VPs matter all that much unless there’s some major screw up like Sarah Palin. Neither Vance nor Walz were going to be the reason for someone to change their vote.
As was observed elsewhere: “Walz may look like Elmer Fudd, but Vance looks like he’d be easily tricked by Bugs Bunny.”
Forget what Vance looks like; when he talks, he sounds like a lightweight.
This.
Although Trump is old enough and infirm enough that the VP choice mattered.
