Kayaker runs Tahquamenon Falls

Just south of Whitefish Point discussed in the Edmund Fitzgerald thread is Tahquamenon Falls which is ~50 feet tall and ~200 feet wide.
A kayaker went over it and survived “The kayaker did not seek park medical attention after the plunge”

There is a link to a facebook video in the above link.
Understatement of the week at least: “However, he warns the park does not encourage attempting this dangerous feat in any way.”

Brian

A kayaker, not Kayaker.

Do we know that for a fact?

It’s either/oar.

mmm

Ouch! The video shows he made it, but I am sure it was a pain in the boat.

You deserve to be paddled for that.

You’re saying the guy was almost sent down Shit Creek?

I’m curious if the kayak is okay? I’m sure they’re not designed for 50 foot plunges.
