Apparently, he’s jumping right into the fight for marriage equality, and hosting a benefit for the American Federation for Equal Rights (the group litigating Perry v. Schwarzenegger). Ticket pre-sales have raised $750,000 so far. I’m not about to like the guy, but that’s more than I’m ever going to be able to do for the cause.

Yes, people with money and influence are so much better than the rest of us.

Looks like in 2010 you can buy indulgences.

I’m not saying he’s better than anyone. But he does seem like a useful ally in a cause I care about. If people find his previous actions unforgivable, I can certainly understand. For my own part, I can bite my tongue for the sake of a useful alliance. Doesn’t mean Sampiro’s OP didn’t make me smile.
