Ken Starr

So this piece of crap spends $50+ millions of our taxes to investigate a semen stain involving consensual sex, yet basically ignores multiple reports of RAPE on his own campus. Worse, his football coach, Art Briles, gets fired but he gets “reassigned.”

More proof that the religious activists in this country have absolutely no morals except imposing their own worldview on others.

Surgically, I hope?

and now, he apparently praises Bill Clinton.

Congress spent the 50 mil.

Congress appropriated it, Starr spent it.

Why can’t people just understand that it’s okay if a Republican does it?

Congress mandated that he spend it doing the job he was hired to do. He was the tool, not the carpenter.

He was a tool all right.

When I was a boy, it was said that the only reason Baylor had a football team at all was because Aggies were too stupid to use tackling dummies.

Starr was hired to investigate the death of Vince Foster and the Clintons’ real estate dealings. When he couldn’t find any evidence of crimes, he got authorization to start a general investigation of the Clinton’s entire lives to see if he could find any crimes they could be charged with.

It wasn’t his witch hunt. He was doing his job. If he didn’t do it, they woulda found someone else.

I don’t think he did it all that well, nor do I think it was a job that needed doing…

He got downgraded from President to Chancellor. Sounds like an upgrade, to me.

Yes, his job was to find something to get Clinton for. When one area after another came up dry, instead of reporting so, he asked for authorization to look somewhere else. Scaife rewarded him handsomely, too.

Come to think of it, though, Starr was “doing his job” this time, too - and, to be fair, it was the same job a hundred other schools hire their own presidents for. His job was to protect The Football Program no matter what, and let that academic stuff take care of itself somehow. He did that job as enthusiastically, and with as little regard for or apparent understanding of ethics, just like he did with the $40 million taxpayer-funded porn novel he wrote about Clinton.

Not to Godwinize the thread but how is this any different from the “I was just following orders” defense? Doesn’t Starr have responsibility for the job he agreed to do?

Cite? What exact job was that?

You know who else was a “Chancellor”?

Otto von Bismarck?

Ain’t that something…

Exactly!!
