There used to be an annual study of the top spots for auto accidents in the Chicago area, and number one was always near O’Hare, presumably because a lot of car rentals are to foreign drivers not used to U.S. drivers and not sure where they are going. I haven’t seen this study for at least 10 years and can’t find it on Google or on IDoT’s website.
