It’s quite possibly one of the few shows I watch that are still in production… And the only one that could be called a “reality show”.
If you’ve never seen the show, it’s about two roommates who have contests for various things, and the loser is submitted to a ‘humiliation’ by the winner.
I just watched the “Who can go the longest without being mean” contest, and I laughed my ass off (which is difficult to do on a day like today, with a loved one dying, but that’s another post… which I won’t bore people with)
Of course, I always root for Spenny to win, as he reminds me of myself… But Kenny is such a spectacular asshole, that he’s pretty much the main reason I watch the show. It’s kind of sad how vicious he can be towards Spenny (see the “Bible selling” and “Who’s funnier” episodes for evidence.) But it makes for some good TV.
It is or was on GSN in the US but I got the impression all we were seeing was older repeats of the show. I watch it if it’s ever on when I’m around but I don’t seek it out.
Love the show, and I think the boys may be on their way to getting bigger in the U.S. after making the rounds at the latest TV critics conference in L.A. Interestingly, Kenny (Hotz) is an award-winning photographer who documented the 1991 Gulf War. And here you just thought he was a bully/slacker.
