Whitmire was insufferable, an arrogant asshole who insisted that only his interpretation of Kermit was the correct one even though it differed greatly from Jim Henson’s. The guy was lucky he wasn’t fired long ago.

If you’re going to fire a diva asshole, you want to do it by phone when they’re not in the office. So you can notify security to not allow them in the building and so you don’t have them throwing a screaming fit in your face and be worried about your personal safety.
