Kerry Democrats - Is the "Dump Kerry" voice getting louder?

I’d never heard ANYTHING even resembling a ‘dump Kerry’ voice until some Clark supporter forwarded me an e-mail saying they wanted to take out an ad calling on Kerry to quit the race and give his delegates to Clark. Even Wes Clark apparently doesn’t support this idea, however. I considered starting a thread about it because it’s so utterly silly. “You beat our guy in 28 out of 30 primaries. Had enough yet?” :smack:

I think Kerry is workable candidate, he just needs to SMILE MORE! He’s so serious looking.

Heavens to Betsy, no we don’t want to dump Kerry. The momentum has the appearance of tapering off only because the primary battles are over. Kerry went from being on the news nightly and giving weekly victory speeches to now being on the news only occasionally.

The race has only just begun. So much of what will swing the vote hasn’t even happened yet that it really is premature to forecast winners in any but the safest states. Let’s see how the Iraqi transition goes, how the economy goes in the summer, how do gasoline prices hold up, does either candidate strike the perfect phrase in debate or shoot himself in the foot, etc. We’ve got a good candidate, we’ve got an eminently beatable opponent, we’re happy as clams and ready to take the White House AND the Congress this year.

This question implies that Kerry doesn’t even have a remote chance and that someone else has a better chance. As his chances look fine, and trying to bring someone else in this late in the game would be suicidal, even if someone of equal or better chances could be found, I find the question to be silly.

The fact that you get one or two columnists writing about something doesn’t mean that anyone else thinks it’s a good idea. There were columnists saying Bush should dump Cheney, LOL, as if they could pry Dick’s hand out of Bush’s back and still have someone capable of standing upright and speaking. Heck, Dick won’t even let George testify to the 9/11 commission by himself, he certainly wouldn’t let himself be taken off the ticket.
