OK my aunt drinks the Folgers black silk kcups which seem to be the most expensive ones in existence but being inspired by this thread: https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=874777
I’m thinking of just getting a dollar tree 2.0 compatible refillable one and buying a normal can but since I’m the one actually making it my question is: is there enough of a taste difference to go through the hassle of filling it every time she wants a cup? if so then ill go that route, because what she pays for 12-16 k cups I can get a 48 oz or larger can …
also whats the best reusable cut to buy for a 2.o?
an oops post …
trying again …
I don’t have experience with Folger’s, but here’s my reusable K-cup anecdote:
Our company switched from providing free K-cups to still providing the machine but we had to provide the cups. I ordered a highly-reviewed refillable cup from Amazon, and tried various levels of filling with Dunkin’ Donuts ground coffee. At any level, I could not get the strength strong enough to match the Dunkin’ Donuts own K-cup. I prefer fairly mild-medium strength coffee, and it really wasn’t close.
But: the vast majority of Amazon reviewers of the product really liked it, so maybe it’s worth a try.
