Keyboard equivalents, when mouse not working

Please, people expert with computers here, tell me what keyboard equivalents can I use to execute the functions of the mouse when this device is not working or the Windows, version or edition 97, is not detecting it or insisting it not present (whereas when I use the computer on msdos mode from the start, the mouse is working).

It is very important for me when the mouse is not working: how to move the cursor to the spot where I have to get something stirred up with the enter key or whatever key to get it going.

Thanks to anyone for any help.

God bless us all.

Windows Keyboard Shortcuts.

Yep that about covers it.

Alt tab and alt F4 are the one you’ll use constantly.

The Tab, Space,Alt and Shift are the most often used keys as alternative to the mouse.

Alt-Tab cycles through all loaded apps.

Tab cycles through all the ‘controls’ (buttons, text boxes, radio boxes, text entry screens) of an app.

shift-tab goes in the opposite direction of Tab.

Space is the equivalent of left-clicking.

Thanks to all who have responded to a brother in need.

God bless you all.

Microsoft also has something they call MouseKeys as part of the Accessibility features that lets you set up the numeric keypad to replace the mouse entirely. It works something like the 2,4,6,8 arrow keys move the pointer, 5 is click, + is double-click.
