Are you able to boot into the BIOS? If so, does the keyboard work there? Googling, for some ASUS computers, holding down F2 while pressing the power button will get you into the BIOS.
That it only stopped working after an update makes me suspect that there is a software issue (perhaps the Windows driver) and not that there was a sudden hardware failure, so my suggestion was to see if it works outside of Windows. And another thing to try is a USB keyboard.
i tried the delete and force update, ran virus scan again, removed my usb trackball, would have to go out to buy a keyboard - my desktop melted in the house fire. i really wish linux would play nice with mmorpgs!
Make sure it’s a full reset and not just windows rebooting itself. The brand’s splash screen should show up and give you a few options (ie press F2 for setup, press DEL for BIOS etc).
It’s odd that a windows update would hardware problems that exist before windows boots.
