mobo problem

I recently put together a new system for myself. I chose the Asus A7V for my motherboard. Sometimes when I turn on the machine I will get a keyboard error saying its not plugged in. If I unplug the keyboard and plug it back in, I can continue booting. Is there something wrong with my motherboard? I’ve tried two keyboards, one a generic and the other is a compaq keyboard that came with my old presario.

Turn off any USB legacy boot options in the BIOS. If you want to keep the mobo and are 100% sure it’s not the keyboard a USB keyboard might be worth a try. (you’ll need to switch legacy USB back on).

Hey Astro, thanks it worked!!! I knew kicking wasn’t the answer.
