"POCATELLO, Idaho (AP)–Doctors at Portnuef Medical Center recently found themselves treating an additional 770 patients—all dolls and stuffed animals.
The annual Teddy Bear Clinic drew a record turnout of children, who brought their dolls, bears and other stuffed animals in need of medical attention.
Saturday’s event was aimed at making a visit to the hospital less frightening for children."

I remember doing that as a kid.
My teddy bear had the flu, and needed to get his shots.

The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and a number of other hospitals have similar annual “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” events to help make kids less fearful of hospitals and doctors. CHEO has a BAS*H (Bear Ambulatory Surgical Hospital) Tent at their events. We took Miss B there a couple of times when she was a youngster.
