After you play a song, the software analyzes your performance and makes suggestions of lessons or riffs that cover things you missed. Maybe that’s what it wants.
Now, what does it mean when I’m playing a song and there’s a chord where some of the notes are empty brackets?
Hmm…I’ve tried doing those things (they suggest games and lessons) but it doesn’t seem to satisfy the requirement.
I’ve done several of the chord lessons and I think one of them covered the brackets but I can’t remember what it meant.
It is odd that there isn’t a one stop listing of the symbols used. Some of them are fairly self-evident like sliding between notes. I just searched and I can’t even find an online compilation of them.
I have been playing in “learn a song” mode. Making good progress and into the section where I was playing chords instead of notes. Saw a chord I didn’t recognize E5. I decided to watch the song all the way through w/o playing. It zapped me back to beginning. Now I gotta go thru all the steps again apparently.
Good to know. Is there a way to play a song through and see all of the parts you selected (lead or rhythm for example) just to see how the song is put together? And then start with the basic training and move up.
I know what you mean - I actually jones for the double bound version, which is crazy, because I already have an expensive deluxe tele! But, jeez: double!! bound!! GAS is a bitch, ain’t it?
That’s a reasonably straight-up copy of a Fender JazzMaster with P90 pickups. It’s actually an improvement over the original IMHO because the it dispenses with the JazzMaster’s squirrelly switching system in favor of a simple 3-way switch. I love P90 pickups, and my GuitarFetish/Xaviere came with P90 and they sound great, so I know the ones on that guitar will also. If you look on the main GuitarFetish electric guitar page, there’s a video at the top from Guitar Player magazine where they review the guitar and liked it (skip to 2:00 for the XV-JT100 review).
How much does the store want for it? It’s tough to beat GuitarFetish’s price, but if it’s in good shape and a good price and the Kid finds it sexy, get it.
Ooh, I think I’ve got it. It looks like it’s a warning that that note is coming up soon after the chord, but is kinda hidden behind the chord pane. Might as well finger it now, and get ready to pick after the chord.
I’m playing on a Windows PC. Since I started playing, I haven’t quit Rocksmith. Restarting and I can now just click on the “Rocksmith recommended” from the play a song windows. DUH!!! :smack:
