I would vote for Sakura… if she gets tired of cosplaying in a few years, she can pretty easily convert a Sakura costume into some neat clubwear.
But a Sailor Moon costume is always a Sailor Moon costume.

Ha ha, all through people talking about violence in Slayers in this thread I had a consistent mental picture of Naga’s boobs bouncing up and down, up and down. I’d be more disturbed about exposing my son to unrealistic images of women. Well, that, and making him into a hentai fan.
I’ve never been a big fan of Naga. She doesn’t even appear in the three TV series (Slayers, Slayers NEXT and Slayers TRY) so she’s easy enough to avoid. I’m more of a Gourry/Zelgadis/Amelia fan.
I thought what happened was
she was hit but had two doses of anti-venom left from treating the other guy you mentioned, so she used one on herself at that point.
Either way, that point of the fight was done rather lamely, but not as bad as the solution for beating the clones.
Yeah, that was a cop-out. I’m just wondering how Ten-Ten managed to avoid being electrocuted even though she fell in the water while wearing a two-way radio. Though I liked Lee’s speech, mostly because he’s one of my favorite characters.
Maybe we should make a separate Naruto Shippuden discussion thread, so those who want to avoid spoilers can skip it.
The separate thread thing is probably a good idea. I have my settings here set so that I get an e-mail notification whenever there is a new reply to this (or any subscribed) thread since I last logged on to the SDMB. This e-mail also shows the first post that replied since you last logged in in a given thread. I just found that there is absolutely no respect for the spoiler box in those e-mails!
Now, it’s OK in this case, since I haven’t watched much Naruto and have no idea what you’re talking about :). I might be just a little annoyed if it were a show that I were planning to watch.
Lucky13, you might want to steer your daughter towards Sakura just because it looks like a simpler costume to make than Sailor Moon. However, a small Sailor Moon would be everso kawaii! (actually, a small Sakura would be, too. My daughter has always gotten a lot of attention at conventions for her costumes.)
Ooh, you’re right! I just watched it again, and that’s what happened. The reason I was confused was…
When I first saw it, I thought to myself “This is a show about ninjas. Ninjas. Trained freaking killers. Sakura’s smart, and knows that she needs to save the antidote for dire circumstances, so I’ll bet she dodged the attack and then injured herself to lure the bad guy into a false sense of complacency.” I managed to keep thinking that until she actually up and showed off the antidote, so I guess mad hope kept me thinking that she’d done the imaginary, cool option, instead of the fake, awesome one.
Sigh; if only they aimed Naruto at adults; silly thirteen and sixteen year old ninjas are already totally awesome, and they must get a bonus for being both mammals AND ninjas, but I can’t help but wish the writers actually bothered to come up with reasonably intelligent strategies for their characters.
…and stopped repeating every important plot point twelve times an episode.
