Kill Bill Soundtrack and similar songs

I’ve found myself listening to the Kill Bill soundtrack quite often, particularly the title track, Green Hornet, and Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood. I must say, Tarantino has as eclectic a taste for music as he does in filmmaking. I was wondering, then, does anyone here have any recommendations for songs I might like that are similar to these? Or maybe some songs from his other movies that might fit my tastes?

By the title track, I take it you mean “Bang Bang.” If you enjoyed that you may like:

–The hit version by Cher, which made it to #2 in 1966.
–Nancy Sinatra’s big hit, “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’” also from 1966.
–Songs by Dusty Springfield.

“Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” is that rarest of things, disco that doesn’t suck. It hit #15 in the US in 1978. If you like that you may enjoy:

–The rest of the “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” album by Santa Esmerelda.
–The original version of the song by the Animals, from 1965.
–Perhaps you might like Donna Summer as well.

“Theme from the Green Hornet” is in fact a pumped up variation on ye olde classical chestnut “Flight of the Bumblebee” by Rimsky-Korsakov. If you enjoyed that you may enjoy:
–Flight of the Bumblebee by Doc Severensin (play back to back with Al Hirt for the battle of the technically-proficient-but-rather-cheesy 60s pop trumpet virtuosi!)
–Sabre Dance by Katchaturian (for a rockin’ version try Dave Edmunds and Love Sculpture)
–Powerhouse by Raymond Scott
–The 60s Batman TV theme song by Nelson Riddle, as well as his soundtrack for the 60s Batman movie.
–The Bullit and Mission Impossible theme songs by Lalo Schifrin.

If you like Tarantino’s taste in music, you might want to pick up the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. I have both soundtracks, and they seem kind of similiar. I don’t have Reservoir Dogs, and I haven’t seen the movie in a long time, but I think the music was pretty good in that one too.
