Lana Turner. I remember reading the story in her autobiography. She played an Asian (gotta love that old Hollywood casting) in a film - “The Adventures of Marco Polo” and they never grew back. I remember in her autobio, when she eloped with Artie Shaw, she forgot her eyebrow pencil & had to draw them in with a regular pencil before facing the press about the marriage.

My mom told me a story about an actress that plucked all her eyebrows for a role and they never grew back so she always had to draw them on. I don’t remember who that was though.

I also remember those stencils for eyebrows and there were some for lips, too. It made playing dress-up with mom’s make-up so much easier.
