Semantics. Did anybody actually get the point I was making, in that these severe weather events, whatever you want to call them, don’t hit Muslim countries as much as they do non-Muslim countries? This implies that the doomsayers who say hurricanes are God’s way of punishing sinners aren’t considering that God’s not punishing their Muslim archenemies. Wouldn’t God rather focus His wrath on ISIS? All they get is hot weather.

Here in Chicago, we’ve been shooting down people left and right. But we’ve had a marvelous summer with wonderful temperatures that feel creamy on the skin, with soft breezes, and lots of sunshine. The rains come usually in the late evening, and only enough to water the plants, and drum us gently to sleep as it falls against our windows.
