Kirk Cameron schools Stephen Hawking in science

/thread

You are 100% right and I do know better- I actually paused, said “that just doesn’t look right” before hitting post, but did it anyway. Keep fighting the good fight- my good fight is affect/effect and imply/infer!
Do you don’t even have to file copyRIGHT. You own what you write, which differs from trademarks, which do have to be filed to be enforced.

Beyond that, my knowledge is fuzzy on copyright law.

Well, see, when a Daddy Universe and a Mommy Universe love each other very much, they get together and, well, things happen.

Afterwards, the Daddy Universe falls asleep and snores, and the Mommy Universe lies there feeling frustrated because while he got *his *Big Bang, she didn’t.

And so it goes.

Makes about as much sense, really, as “God did it.”

This pitting is purely ridiculous. Hawkings quoted assertion has no scientific basis so his superior scientific credentials has no bearing on the relative credibility between him and Cameron on the issue of the existence of God.

Would anyone here apply more credibility to their high school physics teacher on the merrits of religion ?

Top tier post. Would read again. Also guys, let’s not be dicks about this to classylady, eh? She’s stupid/misguided/ignorant/whatever, but saying “I hope you die” is a little overboard, no?

I’ll be attacking those arguments in a new thread.

We don’t know. We do, however, have some theories which are potentially testable. “God did it” is untestable, unfalsifiable and arguing from ignorance. It’s bad theology and it’s bad science.

You’ve (mis-)quoted a famous scientist as support for your argument. I’ll trade you for a famous pastor with a better understanding of both science and God than yours:

I didn’t say I hoped she died. I said it would improve the world. Which assumes, of course, that intelligence is a good thing.

Batman.
Because he can do anything if he prepares.

I would like to discuss the theological implications of Harley Quinn and Cat Woman being involved.

I guess others didn’t read your post as well as I did…

The trilogy of Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Catwoman, you mean?

Heretic!

And I’d like to discuss the theological implications of Cat Woman and Bat Girl being involved*. Wait, I don’t mean theological. What’s the word I’m looking for again? Oh yeah, erotic. Carry on.

*With a tub of chocolate pudding.

You think it’s reasonable for Cameron to accuse Hawking of believing in a “scientific impossibility”? Hawking’s scientific credentials makes that supremely pittable, in the point-and-laugh manner.

Brilliant! You shouldn’t expect much from her anyways. There’s not much she understands. Now she has chosen to follow me over here and harrass me. Is that kind of thing frowned upon?
She thinks she invented the phrase.

What? He’s right: I made an error and said it.

Followed you? What? You licked this thread and called dibs?

So you can’t explain what caused the Big Bang then right? That’s essentially what you are saying. BTW please don’t delve into writing children’s books:rolleyes:
So again. What caused the Big Bang? The universe created itself out of nothing?
There was no cause?

You came over here with one purpose only and YOU know that.

Not enough evidence to speculate.

Appeal to authority fallacy.

She’s much, much smarter than you.

Why are you even at a website devoted to reducing ignorance? You obviously have no intention of learning anything.
