KISS fans: can you identify this poster?

A couple of years ago, I bought a batch of Crazy magazines really cheap on eBay. I wanted to see if I would find them as funny as I did when I first read them in the 70’s (I didn’t). They ended up sitting in a box for some time before I got around to going through all of them.

I found this KISS poster that had fallen out of one of the issues (I looked, but didn’t see which issue it was. None of them indicated that a poster was included).

The artist’s name is “Bush”.

Interestingly, a couple of the issues have bits drawn by Will Eisner.

Long-time fan checking in to say, er, no. :o Thanks for taking me back to circa 1978 for a second there, though.
Ah, when they were kings.

You might try www.kiss4sale.com to see if they’re familiar with it, Mr. Blue Sky. I took a quick look around to see if I spotted your poster, but I didn’t see it. However, you can contact them if you have a question. I haven’t done business with them, so I don’t know how ethical or polite they are with people who have merchandise questions.

IIRC, www.kissonline.com used to have a section that showcased vintage merchandise, but they’re under construction right now. So that part may be offline at the moment.

I wish you the best of luck. I know KISS has been so heavily merchandised that finding a specific on anything is probably challenging because there is so much stuff out there. Hopefully you will find out something soon.

Thanks for the info. I sent them an email with my link.

Who knew Dubya was such a decent painter?

I hear he stayed out of the Kiss Army by joining the Kiss National Guard.

Just a slight hijack to mention that VH1’s reality show with Gene Simmons is a hoot.

You’re welcome for the info, Mr. Blue Sky. And let us know how it turns out – even if it doesn’t turn out to be super-valuable, I’d love to find out if it’s an unusual piece, when it dates from, etc.

When I was 10, KISS scared me.

I got a response from that website. According to them, it’s from the second KISS Marvel comic in 1976. They offer a mint condition copy w/poster for $100!

Cool! And they got back to you really quick, especially since it’s a holiday weekend!
