I keep hearing a loud clicking sound from the kitchen. It sounds like metal, like after you turn a heater off the cooling metal pings. Somewhat like an unpopped kernel of popcorn thrown into an empty pot. So I’m standing in the kitchen awaiting the next click. The culprit? The soaking garbanzo beans have been underwater about three hours. Who knew?
