…stopped making ice. Under counter model.
It said to clean it, so I did, with ice-maker cleaner solution.
Still no ice.
Take off the bottom panel and there is thick dust on condenser tubes. Aha…really should do maintenance more routinely. Clean off the dust with paintbrush and vacuum cleaner. Still no ice.
What is my next step?
Do you hear the compressor running?
model number of device is always useful in providing solutions.
Is there an inline water filter somewhere in the unit? If so, it may be clogged and need replacement. Check this website for ideas.
Right. Model Number. I always forget this part.
What a great idea:

The reservoir is filling. Water is circulating over the now clean chilling plate.
The humming from the lower compartment is what I assume is the compressor running.
3 hours after vacuuming the coils the chilling plate is still warm, and in fact the whole upper compartment is very warm. There is no burning smell. While this suggests to me a refrigerant leak, I am still hoping to hear that there is a reset button that I can press.
I just turned off the ice maker, hoping to see a rest do it some good.
