Kittens Moving; When Are They Due?

As of 3/15 the kittens are now visibly moving around. How soon before the Big Day? (I can’t remember since I haven’t had a pregnant cat in over a decade.) She’s not showing any nesting behavior yet but she’s always been weird. I just know she’ll have them while I’m at work…probably in my linen closet on top of the bath towels.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving: A Pregnant Cat.

I have nothing even remotely helpful to add to this thread but…
Awww…baby kitties :)!!!

Should be pretty soon - how long has she been pregnant? Kitty gestation is 7-8 weeks.

FWIW, I didn’t realize my baby girl, Bitey, was pregnant til I came home and heard a kitten under my bed - no nesting behaviour from her, either.

As opposed to adult kittens? :dubious:

The gestation period of cats is just about 63 days. So if you know when she mated, you know when she’s due. Does she look like she’s swallowed an American football yet? If you haven’t already done so, please start feeding the momcat kitten food. She needs extra nutrition now. Keep on feeding her kitten food until she’s weaned the babies. Most cats are excellent mothers, and need very little help from their humans, but it would be a good idea to think about providing a secluded box for her, lined with old towels you don’t care about.

Please, please, PLEASE take pics of the kitties when they’re first born, and every few days afterwards. And share. It’s good to share.

I had a kid come up to me (I work with the public and animals [if you ever get offered this job say no!!!]) and ask: What’s a baby lamb called? :dubious: And this is just the tip of the  iceburg.

Kittens let me show my feelings in cronalogical order:   :stuck_out_tongue:   :stuck_out_tongue: and Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. ;j ok I didn’t really feel that.

I had a cat that did not exhibit any nesting behavior. Then one night she had kittens on my head when I was sleeping.

That was icky, but the really bad part was that when I sat up, the momcat kept trying to climb up to my head to finish giving birth.
