My lovely cat had to be put to sleep in 2001, and due to finances and living situations, I never got another cat. One of these days, though… (I always think this after looking at cat pictures!)
Cool kitties! Thanks for sharing. What is it with cats and shoes, anyway? The intense aroma of their human drives them batty? My slippers are always migrting from where I left 'em.
Saying goodbye is SO HARD – if they weren’t so danged much fun to have around, I don’t know how I’d bear it when the time comes.
Currently I have seven: EddyTeddyFreddy, Sophie, Sylvia, Squash and Pumpkin. Patches and Serena were unhappy as indoor cats and have found fulfilling new lives as barn cats. Patches, in fact, feels the need to tell me all about her exciting new life whenever I stop by her new home.
My cat Gabby. She’s currently sitting on top of the scanner giving herself a bath. Most affectionate cat I’ve ever owned. One of her favorite things is to cuddle in my lap and lick the end of my nose.
Here’s Porkchop (top) and Aber (bottom). Porkchop’s my little social critter. Always up in everybody’s business. Aber is the reclusive beauty. It’s rare that she makes an appearance. Snob.
Here’s Porkchop looking regal. Actually, she had decided that my new Gore-Tex rain jacket was not fuzzy enough, so she graced it with her furry presence.
And this is my latest acquisition, the amazing disappearing Euronymous, the hope and doom of the world.
Here’s Bilbo and Mungo. Here’s a couple of them in those positions cats sometimes achieve that can’t possibly be comfortable but they seem happy anyway. And Frodo is long since departed but I like this photo so I’m posting it.
EddyTeddyFreddy, you make me feel better. For that matter, so does anyone who has more cats than I do. I alway worry about sliding over the line into crazy-cat-personhood.
I just acquired my fourth. I’ve been fostering kittens for the local shelter this year and one of them stuck. I am such a sucker. (And she is a real doll.)
This is my guy Pixel, he’s the oldest at four years. This girl, Maeve is queen of the castle however. And bringing up the rear is Piper.
Total self-indulgent moment to introduce the newest member of the ArmadilloClan: Grendel
who, as you can see in the photo, came to us with a hideous case of ear mites and a lovely dose of nose crusties, all of which quickly cleared up once we got him cleaned up and on good food. The photo was taken about an hour after we got him home.
He is now four months old and spends most of his time unmercilessly pestering our other cat, King Poe.
I love these pictures and if I were a truly evil person I would link to this! Fortunately for y’all, I’m way too nice to pull that. The critter in question looks the same now except for much longer legs.
