My wife and I will be in New Zealand in March. Schedule is a little unsettled, and we’re travelling with others so we’re sort of at the mercy, but…
We’ll almost certainly have Saturday March 4 and Sunday March 5 free in Auckland. And we’ll likely be in Wellington on Saturday night March 11, and Christchurch on March 13, but those are more tentative.
Anyone interested in a get-together? I’m assuming Saturday March 4 will be easiest, although we’ll just be arriving that afternoon, not sure how alive we’ll be.

What plans have you firmed up at the moment? I presently have no idea where I will be in the country in March, (job interviews, etc) but I’m sure there are plenty of other Kiwi dopers who could meet up with you: we just happen to log on here at odd times this far down…
We’re on a very small driving tour, so I don’t think I can be more specific than that at present. If you tell me that a get-together in Wellington is on for March 11, I’ll firm that with the rest of the tour.
I have no plans to be anywhere but Wellington in the forseeable future, but if enough Auckland dopers respond (since there seem to be more Jafa dopers than Kiwi dopers of any other flavour), I could pop up to Auckland for a weekend KiwiDope. I’ve got a few other friends there that I wouldn’t mind catching up with.
If not, I’ll be in Welly.

Sunday night, 5th March, in Auckland (I’m at the Airedale Hotel on Queen Street) – up for a get-together any time. I had thought I could make it Saturday March 4, but we’ll just be arriving that arfternoon, so I’m assuming we’ll be beat. However, if that’s better for y’all, then I’ll manage somehow.)
Wellington on Sat March 11 (Ibis Wellington on Featherson Street)
Queenstown, Sat March 18 (A Line Hotel on Stanley Street)
I have no idea what’s where or who’s when, so I leave it to you: first one to make a decision about place/time, that’s what rules. I would prefer someplace within walking distance of hotel, but since I don’t know the area at all, I throw myself on your murphy.

Queenstown, Sat March 18 - I’m reading that one as a no-go, but I guess there’s still time to paln, given (a) and (b) above.
mbossa has suggested the Malthouse, at 1900, the front desk should be able to help you get there, its just around the corner from your hotel. I’m a big, portly Samoan who will be wearing a black shirt and trousers-I have no idea what mbossa looks like!!!
