Don’t forget to read the comments attached to the BBC story, many of them from people with peculiar names of their own. Most seem to have reconciled themselves to their fate, but in the words of another, “Naming your child is not an exercise in creative writing or an avenue for personal expression; if you want that take a class or write a book.” Word, Kurleigh.
And I wouldn’t name twin dogs Fish and Chips, much less twin humans. (Twin cats, I admit, I just might.)
Yet another “cruel” New Zealand name; my mother’s name is Gay. People constantly spell it Gaye and she corrects them. She’s 65 her name means happy and she loves it.
