So there are two games I’ve got my eye on right now for the DS, Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of some kind of Plume or another, and Knights of the Nightmare.
I’m also getting Suikoden, but that’s just goes without saying.
ANyway, so i have to spend like infinity billion hours on a plane next month cause I’m flying home to visit my parents then coming back again, and I was wondering which of the two games to buy.
I’m mostly interested in the story line here
I’ve checked out the game play and such from both games, and honestly Valkyrie Profile looks to be more my schtick, but I’m definitely willing to try new stuff if I’m going to find the story rewarding. That’s where the problem is. I’ve looked around on the internet and the reviews and comments re Knights give a small overview of the story and nothing more, whereas those re VPCoskoPoa seem to go on about how it’s a great plot for those who are into darker and more morally confused subject matter, which is right up my alley tbh.
bottom line is I’m leaning towards Valkyrie Profile, but I figured I’d throw it out to you fellow dopers and see if any of you have played one, the other, or (gods forbid) both and have some comments / suggestions / dire warning that must be headed for the fate of the universe* is at stake.
*or my wallet, either way.
