A while back there was news that a Korean scientist cloned a human; shortly thereafter, it was discovered to be a fraud. Since then, there has been little news coverage of the event. How was the fraud perpetrated, and what happened to the scientist afterwards?
Well, he claimed to have cloned human embryos for stem cells. Not quite the same as the Raelians talking about closing humans and raising them to maturity that was in the news quite some time ago.
That said, the most recent info I can find on the Korean incident is from last May, when the scientist in question was indicted on fraud and embezzlement. One of many articles.
