I must say it got better. The humor never quite blew me away but I came to forgive most of the bad jokes and actually got somewhat interested in the story.
Dongalor got funnier and had some good lines. His relationship with Barnabas played out pretty well too. The whole bit where he cried over the boy losing his dog, and then ordered the boy and his father killed, and a pole stuck in the dog so it could be used as a mop was the funniest thing all season. I actually had to pause the DVR and laugh for a minute after that.
It looked like they were setting Dongalor’s son up to be a new villain.
I hope it comes back with a little stronger writing and more focus on story. I think one thing that would help a lot would be to make Krod a total badass in battle, despite being a pussy in his personal life.
I like the bald guy, being lazy about looking him up right now. I read a lot of fantasy, used to play eq/wow, and am watching Legend of the Seeker as well, so I appreciate the genre they’re making fun of. I can take or leave the show, mostly leave.
I put this in a category with shows like Saul of the Mole Men or Tim & Eric Awesome Show: They seem to exist for the sole purpose of amusing the people making them.
Or, it’s entirely possible I’m just an old fart who doesn’t get it.
