Kung fu Panda : Prepare for awesomeness

I saw this movie yesterday and BOY, what a homerun!

It’s funny, gorgeous, touching, wise and all-around awesome. This is the kind of movie that shows you how to make animation movies that can please adults and children.

The tagline of the movie is “Prepare for awesomeness” and it is the most honest tagline I’ve ever read. Within 15 minutes, I was all giddy and repeating to my date “This is awesome! This is awesome!”.

Best line: “There is no charge for awesomeness or attractiveness.”

I gave it 10/10 . Instant classic. I beg you to go see it and I will personally flagellate my penis into a bloody pulp if you are anything but deeply, profoundly happy about seeing it.

Go! Go! GO! (and take the kids too!)

I also adored it. There is an added bonus scene at the end, but sticking around is worth it just to watch the animation that accompanies the credits.

My favorite bits:

Po showing the children the magic scroll. Po’s dad playing chess with the master, Monkey finding out his cookies are missing

Martial artist here.

Not only is it funny, but it has the same positive life-skills message that most martial arts schools teach.

Loved it. When I saw the previews a few months ago I shrugged it off as a dumb movie. Then I saw that it was getting GREAT reviews, so I took the family.

Awesome. And Attractive.
