I saw this movie last night. Thank God, it only cost 50 cents at the bargain cinema to see it. I sat through the whole thing. It wasn’t very funny, IMHO. There were a few scenes where I laughed aloud, but I can’t remember what they were now. I felt a lot like I was one of shadows in the theater of MST3K.
Did anyone actually LIKE this movie?
Has anyone seen the original movie it is derived from? If yes, were the triangle things a part of the original?
I liked this movie and so did my bf. I loved the fact that the movie was dubbed and MST3K is funny as hell. it’s my favorite show. maybe that kind of humor isn’t for everyone…
The cow fight (in the trailers) reminded me of an N64 fighting game I own but can’t remember the name of (Fighters Championship? not sure). Anyway, it has a game mode where you fight a cow. You can’t knock it out, you just try to stay in the ring as long as you can. Lots of fun.
I thought the cow and the gofer chucks were stupid. but i did enjoy this movie. I was expecting acting and therefore I thought it was gonna be boring but when I saw it was dubbed, i was happy. I guess I’m easily amused.
you should check out steve oatachucks’ thumbwars too. it’s a star wars parody, except it’s faces graphed on thumbs. it’s only like 30 minutes long. the faces look like the choosen one’s tongue. also check out the blair thumb and they are working on thumbtanic. None of these are classically funny or anything. just silly and entertaining.
“Oh, no. AGAIN with the squicky shoes?”
Yeah, the movie is cheesy as all get out, and you really have to be in the right mood to see it, but at one point I was litterally chocking, I was laughing so hard.
Fans of Half Baked and dubbed 70’s kung fu movies will probably get a rental’s worth out of the flick.
I have to agree with the people saying the easily amused will enjoy this movie. We went to see it this afternoon, and we really enjoyed it (and yes, we are easily amused). It’s the kind of movie that I would like to watch with a bunch of friends while we’re all sititng around drinking beer and making fun of it. The baby kicking the tar out of Master Pain, then rolling down the hill - we thought we got our money’s worth before the opening credits rolled. “Ooh, such a cute baby - bye bye.”
