Kuwaiti woman calls for global sex slave market

http://themuslimissue.wordpress.com/2013/07/12/kuwaiti-female-politician-men-should-be-allowed-sex-slaves-female-prisoners-could-serve-the-role/

Just… WTF??? My biggest  is what kind of mentality would lead a woman to approve of this.

She has also gone on record saying women should be allowed to buy male sex slaves. She specified that they ought to buy good looking, obedient men.

So there you go. She’s obviously egalitarian on the issue, so, really, what’s the harm?

Prisoners as sex slaves?

Have you ever seen what they’ve got in a women’s prison?! Trust me, it ain’t like the movies! You’ll come away thinking ugly must be a Class A felony!

How pretty would YOU want to be in prison?

Also real pretty women don’t really need to resort to crime in a stable society. There are plenty of reasonably well paying jobs for a pretty woman.

Other than the whole raping slaves thing.

Wasn’t there a girl who pleaded Too Beautiful for Prison?

Debra LaFave.

Some of which might land you in prison, of course . . .

What’s the debate-- there is a crazy woman living in Kuwait?

Well, I agree!!

I think the debate is whether or not using women (or men) as sex slaves is a good idea. I’ll go out on a limb here and weigh in that I think it’s a bad idea. MMV of course, but that’s where I stand on this one.

Note that she specifies non-muslim female prisoners of war… because it would be “wrong” to enslave Muslims I guess?

Really, my RO meter pegged on this one. My value system says it’s wrong to sell and buy people regardless of religion or criminal status.

Picky, picky, picky.

My first thought was that this was culture-related. Maybe that’s prejudicial, but we in the Western World often observe “unthinkable” laws and punishments when looking at very different cultures. People grow up in these very different “worlds” and are influenced by the culture and the fact that the culture is so enshrined in the law that it must represent some absolute truth. When they are creative and come up ideas of their own these ideas are something “we” would come up with only if we are on several different street drugs at once.

As Paul Harvey once said, “It is not one world!” [Emphasis added]

ETA: Maybe I should retract the apology for being “prejudicial” and offer one for stating the obvious.

I would like to chime in and commend XT for taking such a bold forward-looking stance on this issue. I agree wholeheartedly, but felt like I shouldn’t say anything given the overwhelming support for the capture and rape of sex slaves. XT’s courage in taking this position is a beacon of light in a world of darkness.

XT, this Bud’s for you!

Isn’t the Daily Mail Britain’s Fox News? Maybe this is accurate, but I’m just wondering if this was misinterpreted sarcasm or a flat out fabrication.

This kind of mentality, probably.

Sometimes, when I click on a link in an OP, I’m struck by how unlikely I would have been to find myself looking at such a site. Often, in such an instance, I get so distracted by the site itself that I pay it more mind than the item to which the OP wished to direct me. And I sometimes find myself wondering what brought the OP to the site.

You slumming, Lumpy?

As I said in this thread

Ah. Thanks for the clarification.

I’m glad I only sign up for opportunities to win an overnight stay in the Disney Dream Suite. I still get spam, but it doesn’t make me feel like I need o take a shower after reading it.

I don’t think all American women supported the 19th Amendment, either. Tradition is mighty.

Muslim Press is a website which states in its "About" section.

This is clearly a website with an agenda and frankly they have little or no credibility on this issue. The Dope once again displays its excellence on on islam and muslim related topics (<sarcasm>).

I do have to go update my ignore list.
