Will someone please fill me in on any backstory on Green’s new partner and the new ADA?
Green’s partner from last year, Fontana, apparently retired. His new partner recently played the hero in a beauty salon incident, and-- from what I gather-- was given the choice of working in whatever department she wanted. She chose homicide, and Greene got stuck with her dopey ass.
Don’t know much about the new ADA.
She meets McCoy’s requirements. Young, thin, single, female.
You forgot willing to sleep with him. That’s what got the blonde coatrack fired, remember?
And Alex murdered? 
The episode from 9/29 was okay. I think the show is starting to show its age though, and maybe like Star Trek, should just retire gracefully (although I would miss it) instead of heading toward deep waters. You know, where the sharks swim.
I just wish they could bring Lennie back. 
Am I correct that the new partner was a uniform at the time of the salon incident, and got bumped to detective as a result?
They haven’t really explained it, but from the sense of contempt I’m getting from Van Buren, I’m thinking she was at the beauty shop getting her nails done when some robber came in, and Cassidy shifted into cop mode and stopped the bad guy.
