L&O SVU: A Special "Where Are They Now" Episode

So, I was watching the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that was on this week (Season 10, Episode 8, “Persona”).

Right away, I thought “Hey, it’s that chick from Carnivale, haven’t seen her much lately.” Just a few minutes later, I followed that up with, “Oh my God it’s Frenchie from Grease”. She played a nurse last season, and apparently a doctor this season. Good for her, she’s been promoted.

So the detectives start to investigate, and one of the first people they run across is B.J. from MAS*H.

Is SVU a prestige job, or an old actors home?

It’s kind of like The Loveboat except without all the rape, incest, prostitution, and violence. Ok, it’s exactly like The Loveboat!

Well, it’s like this. When actors lose jobs, they then go on and audition for other jobs. It’s just like any other employment situation, except that actors tend to lose jobs a lot, as jobs in acting rarely last. Then you see them on another show and are surprised. That daffy prince from Blackadder is House? Really?

My fave is Boti Bliss. I first noticed her in a scene from a serial killer movie that I dare not mention on this message board because of the incredible furor it would arouse, except to say it was very naked and sexual. Next time I encounter her she’s a regular on CSI: Miami doing procedural stuff. From the name in the credits on the movie, “Boti Bliss” I figured she was some hippie chick who was probably moving up from a variety of porn gigs, but instead she’s an actual actress who’s willing to take risks in a role. Who knew?
