This would be funny if it weren’t so worrying. LAPD again screws up. Several young people might have their lives screwed up. Heads should role Charley Beck.
LOL, it IS funny. Who cares if “several young people have their lives screwed up”? They made their stupid choices, knew it was wrong, now they have to live with the consequences. Perhaps this is a GOOD thing, weeding them out of potential actual duty as police officers since they’re such d-bags.
“Several young people might have their lives screwed up” makes it sound as if someone screwed them up. They fucked up. So did their teachers/supervisors? True, but we normally don’t blame the school when any other teen is caught joyriding.
I agree with your points. Usually I am the harsher one.
They let the driver go with a warning. I say give 'em jobs!
Lol…they didn’t get their mordida first. Damn slackers.
Yes, but I think we should hold the LAPD accountable for its apparent inability to keep teenagers from stealing major police equipment. According to one of the reports I read, one of the stolen police cars has been missing since May. This kind of makes you wonder how many other stolen police cars there are out there.
But they’re just kids! Let them have their fun!
I agree and am embarrassed to admit this place is slowly becoming a third world mess.
Maybe npt. These kids are subject to the la systen.
How would a head role Charlie Beck?
I’ve never been to L.A., but I have played Grand Theft Auto V which is set in L.A. I can tell you, that in GTAV it is really easy to steal a police car.
Police Acadamy 23: Real Life.
One of the LAPD responses is that they don’t have enough officers to staff the station. Maybe they should hire more people. Sounds like a good idea.
If only there was some program that could start young people early on a career in the LAPD…
And if only there were some way to keep such persons from doing stupid shit…
They claim they have serious staff retention issues and the city refuses to spend the money to hire more officers.
big surprise there.
