Dig the Docs; you really can’t go wrong there. What about a pair of Skechers or Vans? Mr. Levins wears both with his “casual but not sloppy” ensemble and he always looks snappy.
Ixnay the loafers. Don’t dig that at all. Or any shiny leather shoe. Gross.
heh
This reminds me of Alvin Lee (quite a virile guy) of Ten Years After and his clogs.
Aerosoles do indeed make shoes for men, never would have thought it. But I suppose if Bruce Daddy doesn’t care for Riekers or Eccos, he won’t be heading in the direction of either Aerosoles or the more expensive Mephistos. Sometimes you can get Mephistos on sale during the ‘shoulder’ season. I agree, they cost a lot but they are most excellent.
Oh yeah, they’re ugly, but in an almost fashionable, "I’m-not-a-slave-to-fashion kind of way. They’re hella comfortable. He LOVES them. They’re about $110 a pair but last a long time.
Best bet, go into a shoe store that you think you might find something to your liking. Make sure there’s a piece of ass working there. Give her the “awe, shucks” routine that you’re not sure of what to get.
Spend some time having her help you find a good pair of shoes to your liking.
You’ll either walk away with the shoes you’ve been looking for or a phone number, or both.
As a chick, I will say, my shoes look fabulous, not comfortable. Yours should be the same, even if they are casual. Mens “comfort” shoes look atrocious. shudder. Go for style not for comfort. Oh, btw, give slip-ons a swerve. There is no way to make them look anything other than effimiate, they also make your feet look small.
As a man who owns enough shoes to be embarrassed to post about how many, I’d check out Sketchers. They are reasonably priced, nice looking and they have a fairly good amount of styles. Between the casual shoes and the sandals you should find something to your liking.
