Now I’m wishing I had seen her second performance. I want to see that wacky costume.

Gaga’s only had one album. At that point in her career Madonna was singing “Holiday.”
I recall reading that she really considers herself (Lady Gaga that is) more of a performance artist than a singer.
On the second song, I was quite impressed. She can sing well! And play piano! She also seemed genuinely interested and happy to be doing SNL, which is a refreshing change.
I’m REALLY surprised they didn’t dig into the potential comedic gold mine that is the rumors/speculation about her gender(s).
She’s different, that’s for sure. I liked a couple of her radio songs enough to get her albums, and I was impressed by the solo piano version of “Poker Face”, so I’m glad others get to hear that too.
As far as I know, it was the first time I’d ever heard Lady Gaga. I fast-forwarded past both songs after the first 30 seconds. “So, that’s it?” I said aloud, and then belched.
Was that really Madonna as herself? She looked a lot younger than I’ve seen in other places recently (I know the host thanked her at the end, but I thought she might’ve made a cameo appearance somewhere else in the show like ScarJo did).
Bwhaaaaa? I’ve always said she has the face of man but are there really rumors that she’s a man, baby?
There are a bunch of pics that seem to show a bit of a bulge, I’d say she may be a hermaphrodite if anything. She has the ass of a woman!
I had heard of Lady GaGa of course but had never seen or heard her and I have to say I liked her. Totally surprised me! I could have done without the costumes, but hey, I’ll deal with it
I knew it was really her in the MTV skit, but did not think it was really Madonna… the arms looked to normal LOL, but then they thanked Madonna at the end… so I am left wondering…
All in all it was one of the best episodes in a long time.
That was Abby Elliot playing Madonna. Madonna looks more like the Crypt Keeper nowdays.

Well, according to EW, that was Madonna playing Madonna.
I stand corrected, but really can you blame me? That looked like Madonna from 20 years ago.
This is ridiculous and frankly pretty fucking disgusting. This kind of malicious rumor manufacturing says a hell of a lot more about you than about Lady GaGa, z.
Watch this video and get back to me on your “pics that seem to show a bit of a bulge.” You could find a still pic with a shadow manipulated to show Shirley Temple was hung like a fucking horse if you had a mind too.

I just assumed, between the name and the face.
Meh. Got as far as her sitting at the piano in that clip before clicking off out of boredom. The rings could have been some really clever showmanship, executed properly, but she had such poor control of them that it just made her look clumsy and unrehearsed. I snickered a little when she bopped herself in the head. The music was bland and generic and in general indistinguishable from any other bland and generic pop song out there.
And sitting at the piano with the rings on? Again, clumsy. Made her look ridiculous, and brought the transition from one song to the next to a grinding halt. I’d say she’s a talented clown if it looked like she was doing it on purpose, but she didn’t even have that going for her.
If that’s talent, I weep for the world. 
There used to be peculation about Rosario Dawson’s ‘bulge,’ too.
Then someone explained what a pubic bone is.
I have to agree with this 110%, though I will say once she sat down and began playing the piano, I thought that at least she is probably more talented that most others of her ilk, for if nothing else she can apparently play an instrument.
That said, she looked SO assinine with her costume; perhaps if she would actually focus on music instead of the uber bizzare “LOOK AT ME” fashons, maybe she would still have a career in a year from now, instead of ending up as just one more forgettable flavor of the week…
You mean this one on YouTube? I was hooked on her after I saw that one. Real showmanship there. And I admire her intelligence for being sort of disguised on stage. She still can go out without her wig and make-up and have total anonimity.
I caught only the first of her performances Saturday, which I liked, but of course given the logistical circumstances wasn’t going to be a patch on her VMA performance, and it wasn’t. That was spectacular, and it made me a fan – which is the reason I attempted to stay up and watch SNL at all, something I haven’t done in 10 years except when there’s an election on.
